Polygon Bikes has made real quantum leaps in recent years and has increasingly established itself on the European market. The fact that the engineers prefer very independent and creative forms was already proven in last year's models. At the Polygon Bikes stand at this year's Eurobike, in addition to the 2014 product range with racing bikes and city bikes, there was also a very unusual bike to look at.
It was a prototype of the new enduro. To be precise, these are two frames that refer to the code name "PLG-03" and "PLG-04" hear. Under the slogan "Start Making Waves" an impressive design was developed with a floating shock mount and the FS3 suspension system. The two prototypes are part of the international development program Ripple Coalition. This program has set itself the task of creating something completely new, something that has never existed before. The somewhat trail-oriented version, that "PLG-03" offers 140 millimeters of spring travel, the enduro bike has 160 millimeters of spring travel. However, apart from the geometry of the two frames, they are very similar. Both are based on a monocoque carbon frame and come with 27,5 inch wheels. The rear end is also made in one piece and, atypically, has no bearing points on the rear wheel. The cables are routed completely inside both frames. It was not yet possible to say at the Eurobike what the series models will look like, but the two bikes on display looked very final.
