Norwegian clothing and protective gear specialist Sweet Protection has a history of impressing with its well-thought-out details. At this year's Eurobike trade show, they presented their 2014 collection. The product highlight is the new all-mountain and enduro helmet, the "Bushwacker." The helmet consists of five individual layers, designed to absorb impact forces as effectively as possible in the event of a crash. The "Bushwacker" also incorporates a new system called "MIPS ." This concept involves two "floating" helmet shells. These are designed to absorb rotational forces and provide significantly better protection for the rider.
The helmet features 17 ventilation openings and five internal air channels, ensuring constant airflow and circulation. Openings have been deliberately omitted from the sides of the helmet, as this is where most damage occurs in a crash. This design is intended to make the "Bushwacker" very stable and reliable despite its lighter weight.
The helmet will be available from March 2014 and comes in two versions. On the one hand in the normal version for 149 euros, without the MIPS technology, and on the other hand in the carbon version with MIPS, which will cost 249 euros.
