Patrick Gretsch from Erfurt will leave the Argos-Shimano team after only two years. From the coming season he will start for the French team Ag2R. The time trial specialist will meet Julian Kern there, who came third in the 2012 German Championships. He has signed a two-year contract.
Gretsch, who became a professional with Team HTC-Highroad in 2008, has won the prologue of the Tour of Andalusia in recent years, among other things. Since then he has shown himself to be active on difficult terrain. On the 11th stage of the Giro d'Italia this year, he was caught just a few kilometers from the finish. At the DM in the time trial he took second place behind Tony Martin.
