cycling: Germany Cup #1: Sunscreen instead of mud pack

September 30, 2013 by the editorial office

After an exciting battle at the top, Ole Quast (Stevens) secured the first run of the Germany Cross Cup, which was held as part of the Stevens Cyclocross Cup. Right from the start, the 23-year-old from Hamburg put up an exciting race with his teammate Toni Bretschneider. After Bretschneider dropped back to fourth place due to a crash and Quast had to change bikes on the penultimate lap, both fought back to the top. Quast needed 15 minutes and 57 seconds for a distance of 11 kilometers. Bretschneider reached the finish line six seconds later. Third went to Max Lindenau, who completed the Stevens podium.
