Spectrum: Tern expands its traffic concept

September 10, 2013 by the editorial office

dull

Launched in Munich in 2012, the TERN mobility concept now includes five metropolitan regions in Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Münster and Hamburg. In these, the German general importer Hermann Hartje KG in cooperation with the respective transport associations and the ADFC regional association "tern"-Folding bike models offered at preferential conditions. With Bremen, the 10 sixth city now completes the illustrious big city ensemble, also for an unlimited period.

In Bremen, the municipal transport company, BSAG, offers free transport of the "tern"-Special model "Link D8" Applied. At the project "Urban Mobility" the advantages offered by a folding bike are reconciled with the legal options for taking a bike on local public transport.

Background of the mobility concept: With the general increase in bicycle traffic, the number of bicycles parked in front of the train stations also increases, which often leads to major obstacles at train station entrances. The "tern"-Project Folding Bike will contribute to solving these problems, since - unlike conventional bicycles - it can be carried in a folded state free of charge even during closed times.
