At 163 kilometers, the longest and probably toughest stage awaited the participants of the Crocodile Trophy on day six. The Austrian Josef Benetseder was unstoppable that day. In a phenomenal solo he covered the distance and thus secured his stage victory. “I just tried to drive consistently fast. My pace was really good and everything went according to plan.”, according to Josef Benetseder.
With a gap of 13:42 minutes he was followed, again as a sprint duel, by Frendo and Wallace.
Liesbeth Hessens was also worlds ahead of her competition. The Belgian secures victory number five with a lead of 1:05,0 hours over the two Italians Prati and Sordi.
