cycling: DTU presents squad for 2014

25 October 2013 by the editorial office

Triathlon

The German Triathlon Union has recently presented its squad for the coming season. The focus on an almost radical rejuvenation of the selection becomes clear. This is due, among other things, to the numerous departures of athletes who are now looking for opportunities outside of the Olympic distances or who end their careers at the end of the year. Among these, it is particularly important to mention Jan Frodeno, the Olympic champion in Beijing in 2008, and Anja Dittmer, who want to establish himself in the middle and long distances in the future, as well as Maik Petzold and Christian Prochnow.

A total of 42 athletes made it into the squad, which is led by Anne Haug, who came third in the World Championships. Anja Knapp and Rebecca Robisch follow in their wake, as do Steffen Justus and Franz Loeschke.
