The World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) announced the calendar for the coming season a few days ago. A total of 31 events will fill the European calendar. The competitions in Aarhus, Budapest and Mallorca are new. There will even be two races on the Balearic island. Regensburg, on the other hand, is not included.

According to those responsible for the WTC, there is a good reason why the European season will end in Mallorca next year. "Mallorca now has the reputation of the Hawaii of Europe among athletes in this country", says Thomas Dieckhoff, the person responsible for Europe at the WTC.
