Fallen US cycling star Lance Armstrong has settled out of court with Acceptance Insurance. The insurance company had filed a civil lawsuit against the Texan for fraud. How USA Today announced today that the company had once paid Armstrong a $3 million bonus. After his confession to Oprah Winfrey, the insurance company demanded the bonus back. The out-of-court settlement means that Armstrong also avoids being sworn in before a court.
In addition to Acceptance Insurance, insurance company SCA is also demanding a $12 million bonus back. The company turned down a $1 million settlement offer.
