According to its own information, Rose Versand GmbH is Europe's largest specialist cycling mail order company. From Bocholt, she supplies customers worldwide with bicycles, technology, accessories and clothing. The history of the Münsterland company began more than 100 years ago. Rose's focus has always been on individual bicycles built according to customer requirements. They now want to continue this tradition in a multimedia concept store.
"With our first concept store, we also want to make buying a bike a multimedia experience."
In Munich-Moosbach, the mail order company will open in autumn 2014 after the BikeTown his second shop. However, this one is something special: the store will be Rose's first multimedia concept store. On an area of 300 square meters, customers will be able to put together their tailor-made bike with the help of the in-house bike configurator, which will then be built by hand at the main location in Bocholt.
"Until now we have only sold our products online, via mail order and in our flagship store in Bocholt. With our first concept store, we also want to make buying a bike a multimedia experience.", says Thorsten Heckrath-Rose, Managing Director of Rose Versand GmbH.
For the futuristic store concept, the family business, which is known far beyond the country's borders, has also chosen a future-oriented location: The home of the concept store will be a ground floor area in MONA, the new office and shopping center in Munich-Moosbach, which is currently still under construction. The interior design of the store is being developed by the architecture firm Blocher Blocher Partners from Stuttgart.
In the multimedia shop, which is intended to merge the tradition of stationary with the advantages of online trading, it will not only be possible to individually configure bikes, but customers will also be offered professional advice at several advisory tables. There will also be an exclusive selection of bike parts, bike clothing and bike accessories, especially from the Rose brand.
