Clothing: Ekoi Multistrata: privacy screens in French

12 December 2013 by the editorial office

The sun is usually more dazzling in winter than it is in summer. Reaching for glasses is the only solution here. However, glasses are not just glasses, which becomes apparent at the latest when fogging up at traffic lights or uphill. Expensive models usually have anti-fog protection, which the inexpensive competition can rarely match. From France comes with the Ekoi multistrata however, a representative who does not shy away from a fight - and proves that this fight does not have to be unequal.

The fit of the just under 30 grams multistrata is pleasant. It may appear a bit narrow at first glance, but its wide lenses don't let the wind get to your eyes. The temples are rubberized and do not press on the ears.

The most famous face behind the multistrata is certainly that of French Tour de France hero Thomas Voeckler. It is all the nicer that Ekoi does not only reserve the right to choose a disc for drivers of this color. Because the commercial version of the multistrata comes with three lenses: Iridium, Mirror and Photochromic.

All three discs are suitable for use in different lighting conditions. While the mirrored lens is certainly the most common of the three, the most exciting is hidden behind the photochromic lens – depending on the light conditions, it tints. In use, this works without any problems. Especially in winter she should find many friends with it. Apart from that, we were particularly impressed by the anti-fog protection. Thanks to the six ventilation openings worked into the discs, you don't have to worry about one blind drive make. When you stop at the traffic light, it only takes a few seconds before you have a clear view again.

//Conclusion

The French manufacturer Ekoi has only been on the German market for a few weeks. If you look at the company's portfolio, you will notice the mostly low prices. However, the proves that these are high-quality products multistrata. For just 89 euros you get three pairs of glasses in one. That way you are always in good shape. The performance of the glasses is convincing, as is the look. Only the disc change took a little time at the beginning. Delicacy was required here. However, we did not have to complain about a broken pane, since the panes are made of shatterproof polycarbonate.
