One or the other 26 inch fan has certainly been worried about the beloved wheel size for several months.
A few years ago, the introduction of 29-inch wheels closed a gap in the market, but also seeded the basic idea of the currently popular 650B wheel size - more grip, stability and better rolling characteristics.
Although Jerome Clementz and Jared Graves were on 26 inches at this year's Enduro World Series and practically outclassed the rest of the field with several stage victories, almost every bike manufacturer is currently using 27.5 inches.
In his latest video, Craig Evans from Cotic Bikes shows in an impressive way why 26 inches will not die out, as has been predicted so often. The young Brit circles his enduro hardtail around the wildest curves at an almost unbelievable speed – have fun watching.
