cycling: Cyclocross Rucphen: Walsleben and Vos live up to their role as favourites

18 January 2014 by Veit Hammer

Philipp Walsleben (BKCP-Powerplus) won the Cyclocross Rucphen. After a somewhat cautious start, he turned up the heat as the race progressed and relegated Jim Aernouts (Subweb-Napoleon Games) and Eddy van IJzendoorn (NatuBalans) to their places. Dutchman Thijs van Amerongen (AA Drink) was also doing well in the race, but was robbed of all chances by a broken derailleur hanger.
