The Mega, as most just call it, is one of the most popular, most demanding and at the same time most dangerous mountain bike races in the world. We're talking about the Megavalanche in the French Alpe d'Huez. Every year, hundreds of downhill mountain bikers travel to the idyllic little town. This year's Megavalanche takes place from July 7th to 13th. If you want to spend a week on the stony trails of Alpe d'Huez and dare to do the mass start at the end, you should register for the event now. The megavalancheRegistration is open since January 5th.

Aiko Göhler (Last Bikes), the only German starter who made it into the front row of the main race last year, is also looking forward to the Mega. “I was totally blown away last year when I arrived in Alpe d'Huez and rode the trails for the first time. It's just incredibly fun to drive there. I never expected to win my qualification and start from the front row. Unfortunately, in my zeal, I fell in the first corner and my front wheel was so bent that I couldn't even think of continuing. This year I want to make up for it and get down in one piece.", said the Berliner about his ambitions.
