The Dirty Dan, a mud specialist from German tire manufacturer Schwalbe, is a popular tire among gravity riders. Its aggressive tread pattern, reminiscent of a studded tire, offers excellent grip on soft, loose surfaces. The large gaps between the tread blocks ensure proper self-cleaning and braking traction. Now, the tire is also available in a narrower version for larger 29-inch wheels.
Besides the narrow X-Country version, the Dirty Dan is also optionally available in a SuperGravity version. Equipped with Curve Claws for extreme lean angles and the soft, almost sticky VertStar compound, it is Schwalbe's specialist for deep and muddy terrain in enduro races.
