cycling: Tour of San Luis #6: Arredondo for the second time!

25 January 2014 by Veit Hammer

daily

Colombian Julian Arredondo is currently showing his Trek Factory Racing team why signing him was the right thing to do. On the sixth stage of the Tour of San Luis he prevailed against Sergio Godoy (San Luis Somos Todos) and general classification leader Nairo Quintana (Movistar). Arredondo had already won the second part of the day. [Link]

The stage, which takes the riders over 166 kilometers from Las Chacras led to the summit of Mirador del Sol, culminating in the seven-kilometre final ascent, which has an average gradient of almost 9 percent. In the end, 10 players emerged from the field of drivers, who made up the day's victory among themselves.

Thanks to the third place on the day, Quintana keeps its top position in the general classification. Tomorrow, on the final stage, this shouldn't be taken away from him either.
