Product news: Cheetah Bikes offers models with Pinion gears

February 26, 2014 by the editorial office

Bikes with gears are rarely seen, although this technology has been on the market for several years. The weight is usually too great, which is often considered the greatest disadvantage of the gearbox. However, the fact that the center of gravity of the bike and the susceptibility of the gearshift is significantly improved is usually swept under the rug. The German bike manufacturer Cheetah Bikes now offers 16 of its models with the proven Pinion gearbox.

The company is the first mountain bike manufacturer to offer the new system for models of all wheel sizes. You don't just limit yourself to one type of bike, as is so often the case. Enduro, all-mountain and touring bikes as well as the current hardtail bikes are equipped with the P1.18 gearbox that was released last year and offers the rider 18 gears.

The Cheetah Enduro model Rocker is currently the only Pinion hardtail with 160 millimeters of spring travel on the market and is ideally equipped for the toughest operating conditions. In the touring segment, the Cheetah model applies For Pleasure 29 " as the only 120 mm spring travel hardtail with a Pinion gearbox.
