Product news: On Cloud: The world's lightest cushioned running shoe

February 18, 2014 by the editorial office

With the  Cloud the Swiss shoe specialist On is presenting its fifth model, a shoe that aims to set new standards in terms of cushioning and weight. The patented Zero Gravity-foam combine exactly these aspects and allows the weight to drop to a total of 42 grams for a shoe size 198. In contrast to the other models, a new development is used in the form of a continuous channel on the sole side. This separates the CloudTec-Sole, which should adapt perfectly to the individual load. Another highlight are the flexible laces. Once adjusted to the foot, you never have to tie your shoes again and at the same time you should experience sufficient stability.

The On Cloud consists of a total of 16 elements. These elements are attached directly to a flex plate called the Speedboard, eliminating the need for a midsole. Strategically positioned flex cuts should also ensure optimal freedom of movement. The new model is primarily aimed at runners who are looking for a lightweight shoe with excellent cushioning. The Swiss lightweight is available in two colors for both women and men and costs 129,95 euros.
