Product news: Shimano expands sponsorship program

February 21, 2014 by the editorial office

shimano1

As one of the world's largest bicycle groups, Shimano has been one of the most important sponsors in cycling for many years. They sponsor teams and events in all cycling disciplines and are also official partners of the UCI. For 2014, Shimano is expanding its extensive sponsorship program with a new mountain bike and triathlon team.
Already last year there was a strong line-up in mountain bike sport with teams like the BMC Mountainbike Team, Giant XC -Rennen and -Sport- Factory Racing. This year the MTB Team Stöckli will also be added. The team of Swiss rider Mathias Flückiger will thus be able to fall back on the complete XTR series.

The Uplace BMC Triathlon Team is also supported by Shimano this year. The team has already won 39 Ironman titles and is equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 and PRO components and Shimano's triathlon shoes.

In the Enduro area, the GT Factory Racing Team, Yeti Cycles and the German Cube Action Team are all there to help.
