The Italian component manufacturer Campagnolo has its top series, the 11-speed great record expanded to include a new, strictly limited model series. The Super Record RS, as it is called, has so far only been tested by selected professional teams. Their feedback helped the engineers to further optimize the mechanical Super Record.
At first glance it is difficult to tell the difference from the familiar great record recognizable apart from the graphics. On closer inspection, however, the revised front derailleur is noticeable. In the past, some professional teams often resorted to the cheaper aluminum models, as these usually had a more precise shifting performance than their carbon counterparts. With SC14 labeled variant of the Super Record RS goes back to this action. Made entirely of aluminium, it should be significantly stiffer than standard carbon front derailleurs great record.
Along with the changed front derailleur, the engineers also put their hands on the chainrings. These have optimized climbing aids for the chain and a more delicate tooth shape.
Except for the graphics, the other components of the group correspond to the great record. The cranksets will be available in 53/39, 52/36 and 50/34 gear ratios.
