cycling: Dan Atherton is injured while training

March 24, 2014 by the editorial office

Preparations for the Enduro World Series are in full swing. Not only the organizers, but also the teams and the drivers work hard. Dan Atherton from the GT Factory Team will have to do without a start in Chile, the start of the 2014 EWS. Already at the beginning of last week he fell in a training run with his teammate Martin Maes. However, apart from a bruise on his leg, he was not injured. He fell again and broke his shin. Although it is only a hairline fracture, the recovery will take too long to compete in Chile. “ The fracture is very inconspicuous, but the forces acting in this area are so great that we do not take any risks. Dan will have surgery once the swelling has gone down and the recovery will begin.", according to team manager Dan Brown.
