cycling: Ironman 70.3 California: Frodeno runs away from everyone

March 30, 2014 by the editorial office

frodenum

Jan Frodeno continues his successful switch to the longer distances. At the Ironman 70.3 California, he won ahead of Andy Potts and Sebastian Kienle thanks to a strong mileage. Frodeno celebrated his second win of the season.

Already in the first discipline he had managed to swim out a lead over the rest of the competition with Potts. And on the bike, too, they managed to keep the strongest athletes in this discipline, Kienle and Andew Starykowicz, at bay. Only in the third discipline did Frodeno show what he was up to. With the change to running shoes, he said goodbye to Potts and from then on ran towards a lonely victory.
