Belgian Kenny De Haes won the 199-kilometer classic Nokere-Koerse. In a gripping finish, he prevailed against Tom Van Asbroeck (Topsport Vlaanderen-Baloise) and Nacer Bouhanni (FDJ.fr). With Gert Steegmans (Omega Pharma-QuickStep), the trio managed to catch the last remaining breakaway a few meters before the finish line. Steegmans had previously determined the race at the front with 16 other drivers and only broke away from his companions shortly before the finish.
