The second race of the season in the German Cycling Cup series will take place for us next Sunday. To start at the Tour d'Energy In Göttingen we are traveling with a good result from the start of the season in Cologne. At Around Cologne Last year's winner Daniel Knyss won the sprint of the pursuers in eighth place, newcomer Stefan Räth came fourth and Christian Dengler sprinted to second place on the banks of the Rhine. The all-rounder from Bavaria has fond memories of the next race in Göttingen. In 2012 he managed to win the Tour d'Energy.

After the season opener at the Skoda Velodom in Cologne, Christian is second in the overall standings behind the winner of the season opener, Manuel Kirfel (Team Strassacker). And in the team classification, the team is in second place behind the defending champions from Team Strassacker. After the first of 14 races, the Bürstner-Duemo Cycling team is in third place.

The two Merkur Druck newcomers Christine Göldner and Stefan Räth are also leaders in their age groups and our veteran Bernd Weinhold is ahead in the Master 3 class after the first race.
