cycling: Jerome Clementz ends the season prematurely

Just yesterday we reported on Jerome Clementz's fall and dislocated collarbone.[Link] Today the Cannondale team rider wrote on his blog that he will be having surgery on his injured shoulder next week and will be out for the next three months. “Of course it's a big disappointment to have to end the season like this, especially after the good start in Chile. But it's not in my nature to race with only 80 percent, if that's the case I want to be able to go full throttle.", according to Clementz in his blog.

So he will be a big favorite for the Enduro World Series title in 2014, but would like to be back at the start for the final stop in Finale Ligure. “I'm sad not to be able to defend my title but it will be exciting to watch my friends battle it out for the overall standings. I am sure we will see some hot races.”
