From now on the weather wasn't so kind to us, it got colder and wetter every day. But he did great mood does not detract, because in our cozy accommodation it was warm and there was a lot to talk about after everyone was together. There were also some theoretical inputs, training for the right appearance as a team, inputs for training planning and of course detailed tactical and organizational discussions for our first race together.

Perfectly prepared, we started on Sunday, temperature just over 0 degrees, sleet, wind, cold. But apart from me, no one seriously considered not going to the start. I had spent half the night in the toilet, throwing up and barely sleeping. But there was no going back and so it was time to grit your teeth and roll up the field from behind. In a closed formation, however, it was an easy exercise and we hid well in the field until the all-important climb from Phones atthe bookhere height went. I brought my team riders still in good position, but then unfortunately I had to let go early on. But my team-mates were extremely strong and were right at the front. Finally came Marc leyse in the men's 5th place, while Monika Dietl sovereign the won the women's category! There were more Victories in the mountains classification and a sensational 2nd place iin the team ranking! A perfect debut, so to speak!
