Test: At first glance, the requirements for a mountain bike jersey are quite low. Many riders put the look of their clothing first and only pay minor attention to functionality. To what extent this matters at all is another question.

But even with the cut, opinions differ. In its clothing sector, Specialized offers an interesting 3/4-sleeve jersey that Enduro Comp 3/4.

equipment and practice

The name already gives an idea of the category of cyclists the jersey is aimed at: enduro riders. The Enduro Comp 3/4- Jersey consists of a 30 percent UV resistant VaporRizematerial, which is primarily intended to ensure good moisture transport on warm summer days. With a sporty cut and a side pocket with a zip, it also has what it takes to impress in everyday life.

The jersey is available in a total of five different color combinations. For the test we decided on pure understatement – the little black dress. In the hand, the first thing you notice is the low weight and the pleasantly flexible fabric. The outward facing seams are a bit confusing. They break up the understated look of the jersey, but have the great advantage that they cannot rub against the skin.

There is also a small pocket with an integrated cleaning cloth on the right hip. The design is simple throughout. There are no big logos, lettering or even illustrations. Only a few gray stripes adorn the chest and thus ensure a subtle and sporty style.

In action, the jersey convinces above all with its pleasant cut. It offers a lot of freedom of movement and does not constrict. However, not everyone will like the 3/4 sleeve length. It can happen that the fabric is pinched in the crook of the arm during strong movements and the fabric is therefore taut at the elbow. But if that doesn't bother you, you'll find it in the Enduro Comp 3/4 a very neutral and understated jersey that convinces with an excellent function.

Conclusion

The Specialized Enduro Comp 3/4jersey will separate the ghosts. With the 3/4 sleeves, it's definitely not to everyone's taste. What is certain, however, is that it has all the important properties of a good jersey with a sporty cut and plenty of freedom of movement.
