cycling: Chris Horner makes comeback

June 12, 2014 by the editorial office

Cycling: Seventy days after his bad fall, Chris Horner will return to the peloton. He will make his comeback at the Tour de Slovenie from June 19th to 22nd.

On April 11, the American, who surprisingly won the Vuelta last year, had an accident on Lake Como. Horner sustained serious lung injuries.

"In April was enthusiastic in training, I wanted to prepare for the Giro d'Italia", according to Horner, "Unfortunately, then this accident happened."

Horner has been training again in recent weeks, both in the USA and at his Italian home in Como. If the Tour of Slovenia goes well for him, he could even be at the start of the Tour de France afterwards.
