Product news: Di2 adapter for Bosch e-bike system

June 23, 2014 by the editorial office

bosch1

Market: Shimano and Bosch today announced their future cooperation in which they want to optimize the performance and compatibility of e-bike components.

Together they have developed a Di2 adapter that connects Shimano's electrical gears with the well-known Bosch e-bike system. This uses the battery from the Bosch system as a power source and also shows the currently selected gear on the Bosch display. The complete integration between the two systems is intended to realize a significantly lower-friction shifting process.
The adapter is currently only compatible with the second generation of Bosch systems for 25 km/h pedelecs. The faster 45 km/h pedelecs have not yet been taken into account.
