cycling: Fabian Cancellara again Swiss time trial champion

Cycling: Fabian Cancellara (Trek) has again secured the title of Swiss champion in the individual time trial. And thus wiped away the previously expressed doubts about his start.

The doubts arose after the Tour de Suisse. Cancellara had had an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Yesterday, however, he appeared unimpressed. On the 44.6 kilometer course in Roggliswil, for which he needed 57:55 minutes, he prevailed against the BMC duo Stefan Küng and Silvain Dillier. Both needed 49 seconds and 1:07 minutes more for the route.

“I felt good, but not really special. After the bee sting during the Tour de Suisse, I'm not at 100 percent. But that's normal if you're allergic to it."

Cancellara celebrated his ninth overall national title in the fight against the clock. He drove in the first in 2002. In a few days he will then be able to present the championship jersey as part of the Tour de France.
