Product news: Sram Rival 22: Learned from the big ones

Market: The US manufacturer Sram is now also putting its mid-range Rival group on 22 gears. The options for use are kept open: Whether racing bike, cyclocross or triathlon - this group is intended to appeal to a large number of riders.

The Sram Rival 22 inherits some characteristics of its higher-ranking counterparts Red 22 and Force 22. This is particularly evident in the handles, which are said to have significantly improved ergonomics. There is also the option of riding the group with mechanical rim or hydraulic disc brakes. Both are compatible with tire widths up to 28c.

The derailleur features the so-called Yawtechnology that ensures improved shifting behavior and prevents the chain from jumping off. The rear derailleur is in accordance with the requirements of WiFLi™ technology and can be combined with a cassette spread of 11-32 teeth.
