The Trek Factory Racing Team led by Danny van Poppel, the overall leader of the Tour of Luxembourg, is facing a problem. As part of the tour of the Duchy, the Luxembourg police confiscated the team bus.
According to the Luxemburger Wort news portal, the bus driver performed a dangerous maneuver on the motorway, prompting the police to pull him over. During the subsequent inspection, it was discovered that the bus was neither properly registered nor insured. Furthermore, the bus taxes were allegedly unpaid. In addition, the mandatory technical inspection certificate was missing. The bus was impounded on the orders of the public prosecutor's office.
The team will now have to make greater use of its racing service vehicles (photo above) for the tour.
