Cycling: After Dutch World Champion and Olympic champion Marianne Vos won the inaugural one-day La Course by Le Tour de France in Paris and the women's race drew huge acclaim leading up to the final stage of the Tour de France, Sir Dave Brailsford thinks to BBC Sport according to a possible formation of a women's team at Team Sky.

"We have some brilliant female cyclists," Brailsford told BBC Sport. Because he wants to help ensure that these great women athletes get the same recognition as their male counterparts in cycling, Brailsford believes there is a good chance that a women's team could also be run under the Team Sky name in the future. A lot has been thought about and discussed within the team about this idea. "We are all aware that equality is needed, not only in road cycling but in all disciplines, at the Olympic Games as well as at a professional level," explains the team boss of Team Sky his thoughts on a women's team.
