Market: The tire manufacturer Continental has developed a performance line in its competence and technology center in Korbach, Hesse, which will in future be manufactured in addition to the premium products "Handmade in Germany" in the newly built plant located in Hefei in China. All technologies used there are developed and extensively tested at the German main plant and then transferred to the new plant.

For the Performance line, a new compounding technology called PureGrip used, which of the known BlackChiliCompound is derived with a stronger focus on grip and durability. The one specially designed for the Performance line NyTechBreakerTechnology should also provide excellent puncture protection. Another feature of the new MTB product range is tubeless ready suitability.
With the performance products, a new line of quality has entered Continental's portfolio and is intended to be the new benchmark for all bicycle tires manufactured in Asia. The result is extremely durable and highly adhesive tyres, which in terms of performance can be classified between the Korbacher premium models and the basic versions.
Continental's new performance line is aimed at the competitors who produce in Asia and the large number of OE customers there. The wholesale and specialist trade can thus be given a balanced mix of reliable and high-demand products. The performance version is currently available for the tire types Mountain King, X-King and Race King.
