Cycling: John Degenkolb has already taken us to his finals twice this year - with an onboard camera that provided exciting perspectives. The ASO, the organizer of the Tour de France, has now decided to use the new technology in the Tour of France as well.
The OSA has announced that there will be some exciting innovations in the context of live reporting. These include new graphics that are intended to inform viewers about the race - including gradient percentages, speed and wind strength - as well as live tracking of the drivers, which is intended to provide information about their position in the race.
The most important innovation will be the onboard cameras. Every day, four drivers from two different teams are equipped with a small camera in order to be able to show key points of the race from their perspective. The recordings are then up after each stage letour.fr to be published.
