Nice Italian weather was probably what the riders were hoping for on their way to Madesimo for the third race of the Superenduro Pro Series. Heavy rain and fog did them good on race day but did the opposite and made life hard for the drivers on Sunday. The race organizers acted quickly and quickly decided to run three out of a total of four stages on Saturday. riding was done on the trails of the Madebike Park and in Andossi.

Ben Cruz was able to deliver a consistently good performance on Saturday and was able to dominate the rest of the field even when it started to rain. The Cannondale Overmountain team rider couldn't extend his lead the following day, but he finished clean and maintained first place ahead of Marco Milivinti. Milivinti remains the undisputed leader of the standings and has continued to extend its lead. Alex Lupato completed the podium with third place.

The women's race was extremely exciting. Louise Paulin, winner of the previous races, once again proved her class and led the field. However, the rainy Sunday had its pitfalls and Paulin fell on the last stage. But her competitors also had to struggle with the adverse conditions, so that at the end of the day she brought a 2 second lead over second-placed Brit Katy Winton to the finish. She thus secured her third consecutive victory in the Superenduro Pro Series. The Swiss Caroline Gehrig was third.

Milivinti and Paulin are thus still the leading duo in the Superenduro Pro series. The fourth and final race of the series will take place in Sauze d'Oulx from 6-7. September and will bring the decision about victory and defeat.
