cycling: Tour de France: Alberto Contador remains optimistic

Cycling: The fifth stage of the 101st Tour de France will be remembered by many riders. Following the departure of Chris Froome (Sky), Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) remains the big favorite for many. But like all the other favorites, he lost a lot of time on the pavement to Vincenzo Nibali (Astana).

The Spaniard is now exactly 2:37 minutes behind the Italian, who is also one of the stronger riders in the peloton in the mountains. Nevertheless, Contador is optimistic. He told cyclingnews.com that his terrain is yet to come. And he prepared meticulously for this.

In time for the upcoming showdown in the Vosges and the Alps, his team Tinkoff-Saxo released a video today showing the Spaniard in the immediate preparations for the Tour.
