Market: Even before Eurobike, Giant is presenting its new products for the coming year. In addition to the models already presented [Link] , they are also showcasing the revised Reign , which will replace the Trance SX in the enduro segment.
In the off-road sector, Giant is launching a new 27.5" Reign model range for enduro riding. The 2015 Reign line replaces the Trance SX series and aims to make a splash in the globally growing enduro market. Consequently, the new Reign model range is based on the 27.5" wheel size introduced last year. New features include wider linkage plates , now positioned on the outside, which further stiffen the Maestro rear triangle.
The upper damper pivot of the Maestro system features industrial bearings, further improving maintenance and responsiveness. This provides the rider with 160 millimeters of travel at both the front and rear. The fully internal cable routing gives the Reign a very clean look, which is particularly effective on the carbon frame variants (Advanced models). This marks the first time a carbon version will be available in the Maestro range above the Trance.
The Reign model range now also comes with a rear thru-axle and switches to the Overdrive 1 headset standard. Additionally, the Reign is equipped with an ICG05 chain guide. Positioned below the top-of-the-line Reign Advanced 0, the Reign Advanced 1 will also be available. Besides the two carbon versions, the 2015 Reign will also be available in two aluminum variants: the Reign 1 and a feature-rich Limited edition, the Reign 2 LTD.
