Market: With the Ambit3 Connectedfamily, Suunto offers a whole range of new products this fall: the third generation of the popular Ambit GPS-clocks with the Ambit3 peak and Ambit3 sports, a movescount App for mobile devices and a heart rate monitor with integrated Suunto Smart Sensor. With these new releases, the Finnish manufacturer presents the complete package for everyone who wants to get the most out of their sporting activities and adventures this autumn.
“These days, most people don’t just practice one sport. That's why people prefer a multifunctional watch in their activities instead of multiple watches with different functions”, says Mikko Moilanen, President of Suunto. “Plus, athletes want to share their adventures and achievements with their friends right away. At the same time, it is becoming apparent that in addition to well-being, recovery after sport is playing an increasingly important role. With the new Ambit3-Connected family, we are fulfilling these wishes and needs of athletes.”
Suunto Ambit3 Sport
The new Ambit3 sports is the successor of the successful Ambit 2S. The GPS watch is particularly suitable for athletes who practice several sports and offers all the functions needed for running, swimming, cycling and multisport training. It is available in four variants: in the Premium White Sapphire version, in sporty blue as well as in black and in white.
Suunto Ambit3 Peak
The new highlight product of the Suunto Ambit-Family is the Ambit3 peak. It is the successor to the award-winning Suunto ambition 2. The watch is the ideal companion for adventurers and ambitious athletes - equipped with the latest outdoor functions and special functions for running, swimming and cycling.
Suunto Movescount App for iPhone
The new free Movescount app is the heart of the Ambit3 Connected Family. The app is characterized by its simple operation and high user-friendliness. In combination with the watch models Ambit3 peak and Ambit3 sports athletes can synchronise, upload and share their data while on the go. In September, the app will initially only appear for iPhones and iPads, but an Android version is also planned.
In addition to the new watches, there will also be a new heart rate monitor. This has an integrated Suunto Smart Sensor and will be the smallest with Bluetooth® Smart compatible pulse belt on the market. He will with the Ambit3 peak and Ambit3 Sport HR Versions supplied, but can also be purchased separately and included with the Movescount app or other devices used with Bluetooth® Smart are compatible.
The new products will be available from September 2014.
