Thanks to Bluetooth, it also masters smartwatch functions and enables live tracking of activities. Garmin's new GPS multisport computer weighs just 61 grams Forerunner 920XT on the scales - almost 15 percent less than the previous model. In terms of functionality, it is a real heavyweight. It not only combines the functions of a GPS running watch, but is also a bike computer, swimming watch and counts every step in everyday life as an activity tracker.

In combination with Garmin's premium heart rate monitor HRM-Run, the Forerunner 920XT in training and competitions, a large number of other values ​​in addition to the heart rate. They are determined via an integrated acceleration sensor in the chest strap and provide information about the efficiency of the running style. These running efficiency values, the so-called Running Dynamics, include, among other things, the step frequency, the vertical movement of the upper body and the ground contact time. In addition, he owns Forerunner 920XT integrated performance diagnostics and, thanks to the recovery guide, suggests training breaks. With every run with a chest strap for at least ten minutes, it automatically determines the maximum oxygen uptake
capacity (VO2max).

In combination with Garmin's power meters, the watt meter pedals Vector and Vector S, he shows Forerunner 920XT precisely how much force you use to pedal and calculates a bike-specific VO2max. It gives athletes an additional indication of their specific performance on the bike. How powerful the Forerunner 920XT is, it shows with its long battery life of up to 24 hours in GPS mode. It can easily keep up with its wearer over the IRONMAN distance. GPS, GLONASS and a barometric altimeter ensure a particularly accurate track recording and the new optional cadence and speed sensors don't miss a single pedal rotation, even under difficult conditions.



When swimming he feels Forerunner 920XT probably like a fish in water. It reliably counts arm strokes and keeps an eye on time, pace, distance or lengths swum and SWOLF score. In open water, distance and even the route are recorded. He scores in the pool Forerunner 920XT with freely programmable interval training.

Garmin 2

The Forerunner 920XT is well connected thanks to Bluetooth, WLAN and ANT+. Bluetooth Low Energy enables live tracking of activities and smartwatch functions such as receiving messages or calls when the smartphone is paired. The new Forerunner also automatically synchronizes the latest training or competition data with Garmin Connect via WLAN. The HR belt, power meter and other sensors, on the other hand, transmit the determined values ​​via ANT+ to the Forerunner 920XT. Garmin's VIRB action camera can also be controlled with the watch via ANT+. With Connect IQ, the Forerunner 920XT from 2015 also customize and equip with additional functions.
