cycling: With the fixie over the Swiss mountains

29 October 2014 by the editorial office

Lifestyle: The mountains lure you into something new every year. Many racing cyclists go to Switzerland or Austria to give themselves one pass, one serpentine and one valley after the other. Patrick Seabase can't resist the temptation either and year after year he is drawn to the surrounding mountains. The special feature: he drives a fixie. A tricky situation both uphill and downhill, but Patrick doesn't fear it. He only rides his track bike, so neither steep ramps nor tight hairpin bends scare him.
