cycling: Sparkasse TRANS Zollernalb: There will be no sixth edition in 2015!

November 25, 2014 by Andreas Waldera

transzollern alb

Cycling: Bad news for the friends of the TRANS Zollernalb. The three-day MTB stage ride over the Zollernalb will not take place in 2015. Unfortunately, after five successful years, that's the end of it - for now!

The reason for this lies in the various developments in recent years. Collisions of dates, the high organizational effort of a three-day MTB stage race and the time-consuming preparation for hobby bikers ultimately caused the end of the TRANS Zollernalb. A very regrettable step, since only this year's event saw a slight drop in registrations. Let's just hope that the event will revive with a new concept in 2016! However, cyclists can make a note of two dates in their diaries: the GONSO Albstadt MTB Classic will take place from May 29th to 31st, 2015, followed by the Albstadt LBS Bike-Marathon on July 10th and 11th.
