Market: For the 2015 model season, Focus is giving the Jarifa 29R the powerful Impulse 2.0 mid-engine. This is the first time the in-house drive system has been used in a 29-inch bike.
The off-road version of the Impulse 2014 motor was already used in the 2.0" models Jarifa (hardtail) and Thron (fully) for the 27,5 season. With the Focus Jarifa 29R, 29-inch drivers can now also enjoy what the manufacturer says is the longest-ranging mid-engine. A motor unit specially designed for off-road use is used. The design with the rotated central motor integrated into the frame ensures ground clearance and good protection against external influences. Four screws ensure a secure hold of the 36V/250 Watt Impulse 2.0 motor in the frame triangle.
Depending on the model, the Jarifa Impulse 29R is powered by a 36V/17Ah or 36V/11Ah Impulse Li-Ion battery. With the powerful 17Ah battery, ranges of up to 205 kilometers should be possible under ideal conditions, according to the manufacturer. The shift sensor integrated in the frame ensures smooth shifting. When changing gears, the sensor automatically interrupts the motor support for fractions of a second. This not only protects the drive components, but also your nerves! The Focus Jarifa Impulse 29R is available in four versions at a price of 2299 to 3399 euros.
