Cyclocross: Klaas Vantornout shines again at Gavere to claim his second win in the Superprestige series.

The Belgian Klaas Vantornout from Team Sunweb - Napoleon Cycling was able to win his second win of the season at the cyclocross race in Gavere, Belgium. After an attack on the final lap of the Cross event, he managed to build up a considerable lead and crossed the finish line well ahead of Kevin Pauwels and Sven Nys. The winner was overjoyed after the race and gave the victory a high priority: "This one comes right after winning the Belgian championships last year." Philipp Walsleben finished seventh and once again showed his skills on the demanding surface.

In the U23 competition, the podium was reserved exclusively for Belgian riders. Wout van Aert triumphed in front of Michael Vanthourenhout and Laurens Sweeck. Sanne Cannt won the women's race. She was nine seconds faster than second-place Nikki Harris. Ellen van Loy followed more than a minute later.
