Product news: SE Bikes: novelties for 2015

24 November 2014 by Andrew Waldera

Market: The cult forge SE Bikes is undoubtedly one of the most traditional and renowned companies in the history of BMX. Since it was founded in 1977, the company has been inspiring people with innovative bikes. For the 2015 model year, SE Bikes again has some cool innovations ready!

Triple step through

The Triple Step-Through promises urban gliding with a high style factor. Thanks to the low entry, the cool bike with a single-speed look ensures easy mounting and dismounting, which is a great advantage when doing errands in the city. The orange lettering and the orange rims offer a wonderful contrast to the elegant white frame. The triple step-through rolls on smooth-running Vera City Wide 700 x 32c tires. SE Resin platform pedals guarantee a good and secure grip even with street shoes. The 3-speed Shimano Nexus hub gear with coaster brake ensures a cool and confident appearance even on inclines. The SE Triple Step-Through is available in three sizes for EUR 369,00.

Quad Angle Freestyle 24”

The Quadangle Freestyle 24” walks in the footsteps of the past. The unusual frame shape of the SE Quadangle caused a sensation as early as the late 1970s. The Quadangle Freestyle 24" Limited Edition 2015 offers the rider a modern bike with a good portion of old school flair. The frame and Standing Gear fork are made of 100% Cr-Mo. Thanks to the SST Oryg Rotor all freestyle tricks from the old days and the modern times are possible. Of course, a bike of this caliber should not be without original "Made in USA" Oakley B-1B handlebar grips! The SE Lightning Blitz saddle, which is strongly reminiscent of the Elina saddle from the 1980s, is just as nostalgic. The bike is only available in one size and weighs 14,3 kilograms according to the manufacturer.

A long-time friend of the company SE is Travis Barker (Blink-182), who has been with the company since 1999 owns his own clothing label, "Famous Stars and Straps." To celebrate the label's 15th anniversary, the TB x Famous Stars and Straps Big Ripper 2015" is available for the 29 season. The frame, in Famous Stars and Straps Tiger Camo, is made of 6061 aluminum with a looptail rear end and horizontal dropouts. The Landing Gear fork is made of sturdy Cr-Mo. The 29-inch bike is fitted with 29" x 2.0" Freedom Thick Slick Sport tires. The proud owner of the bike doesn't have to go without a retro protective pad set or ODI Mushroom II handlebar grips. The TB x Famous Stars and Straps Big Ripper 29" is available for a price of €599,00.
