The last two years, with the Giro and Tour victories, have been the most successful seasons of my career, and I want to build on that success with the team," said Nibali. He also emphasized his displeasure with the doping cases of the Iglinsky brothers, who rode for the Astana World Tour team. However, he stated that the connection to the Astana Continental team is strained, and according to Nibali, Dmitriy Sedoun, team manager of the Continental team and sporting director of the World Tour team, has been dismissed from his position.
Later in the interview, he also mentions a possible start at the upcoming Giro d'Italia. "My program is flexible and my main focus is on the 2015 Tour de France. However, there is a possibility of also riding the Giro. We will discuss this with the team, but the Tour requires a lot of preparation, so the strain would be very high ," Nibali told Cyclingnews.
