Market: Just recently we reported on COBI – the connected bike that turns smartphone and bike into one. The success is overwhelming: The crowdfunding goal of 100.000 US dollars on Kickstarter was reached in less than 4 days. But that's not the end of it - the developers want to spend the additional money on new features and are giving out so-called stretch goals.
Even at COBI, hardly anyone expected such an overwhelming response in advance. Founder Andreas Gahlert says: “We are thrilled with the overwhelming global response from fans and the industry. We have always believed in the potential of COBI, now thanks to the feedback we can make COBI even better. We want to be the NEST for bikes with the coolness of GoPro.”
The Frankfurt development team wants to use the great success of COBI to integrate even more features. The first so-called "stretch goal" is $200.000 (as of December 11.12.2014, 11 00:175.000 a.m.: $XNUMX). If this goal is achieved, the people behind the project promise a full integration of a similar project, "The Dash". This is a wireless headset for sports activities that already offers integrated features such as a heart rate monitor. COBI's Tom Acland poses in a video on the Project Kickstarter page the advantages of the cooperation:
