Spectrum: BORA Tour de Cuisine: The culinary delights of the cycling world

14 December 2014 by the editorial office

boratourdecuisine1

Spectrum: BORA, sponsor of the new German cycling team Bora-Argon 18, is now publishing a cookbook that deals with the culinary preferences of the greats in the cycling world. In addition to their own team drivers, Cadel Evans, Marcel Kittel, Peter Sagan and Jens Voigt will also be discussed.

The book, which was created in cooperation with Teubner Verlag and is also published by them, aims to be more than just a series of recipes. On the 200 pages, 53 current and former professional cyclists not only talk about their culinary delights, but also provide insights into their lives off the racetrack. The texts are garnished with high-quality food photos and previously unpublished photos of the athletes.

Willi Bruckbauer, owner of BORA, tells the story of how this rather unusual band came about: “Our world is cooking. Since we announced our commitment as the main sponsor of BORA – Argon 18, the question of what the pros eat and what connects our world with that of cycling has come up again and again. Reason enough to let the pros speak for themselves. The response was great and so this great illustrated book quickly came about, which has become more than a classic recipe book. It should be something very special for the fans that some of the world's best professionals show themselves from this private side.

Tour de Cuisine is now available in stores at a price of €39,90. Maybe it will soon be under one or the other Christmas tree.
