Cycling: At the 84th edition of the Critérium International, two German teams will be represented with Giant-Alpecin and Bora-Argon 18. The French stage race will take place on 28./29. March in Corsica.

A total of 84 teams will compete in the 16th edition of the Critérium International. Seven teams from each of the first and second leagues will start, plus two French third-party visionaries. The well-filled starter list includes the top teams ag2r La Mondiale, IAM Cycling, Tinkoff-Saxo and Cannondale-Garmin.

The race was held for the first time in 1932, at that time still near Paris. Since 2010, the Critérium International has been taking place in Corsica in the Porto Vecchio area. Jens Voigt was the last German to win the race in 2009. With this victory he achieved the triple, winning the race in three consecutive years. Last year, Frenchman Jean-Christophe Péraud from the ag2r La Mondiale team won the race.
