Before meeting his colleagues from Team Katusha in Spain, Joaquim Rodriguez had to visit SIDI Sport in the early 2015 season. In addition to biomechanical tests, the program also included a meeting with company founder Dino Signori.
The collaboration between the cycling shoe specialist SIDI and Joaquim "Purito" Rodriguez is proving extremely fruitful. Purito has been successfully out and about with shoes from the company founded by Dino Signori in 1960 for several years. It is therefore not surprising that Purito will also be using the SIDI Wire racing shoe in the 2015 season. There is no doubt that a cyclist's shoe plays a very important role as the binding element between the rider and the bike. The SIDI Wire is the top model in the Italian manufacturer's range and, in addition to direct power transmission, offers maximum comfort. The best conditions for conjuring up fast laps on the asphalt with a racing bike.
The biomechanical tests that Purito carried out in the small Italian town of Maser (Treviso) determined the pedal position and saddle position of his new Canyon road bike, which he will be racing with this year. The fine tuning should further increase the efficiency of Purito. In this context, Rodriguez was very positive about the quality of the SIDI shoes and the good cooperation with Dino Signori and the entire crew. The Spaniard also took the opportunity to take a look at the 2015 season. The Dubai Tour and the Tour Of Oman are on the program for the season opener in February. Other dates on the cyclist's racing calendar include the week-long Tirreno-Adriatico stage race in March and northern classics such as La Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. At the end of the season, the Spaniard is thinking about the 2015 Road World Championships in Richmond, Virginia.
